Catch-Up

An assortment of photos from this summer, and a couple of videos... Sullivan is obsessed with skeletons right now (he's always obsessed with something). In particular he likes the old Disney animated short features with dancing skeletons, and today he and Andrew filmed his own version:

Point Arena

We've just spent a couple of days in Pt. Arena, CA, staying in the lighthouse keepers' quarters of the Point Arena Lighthouse. Andrew and I first visited 8 1/2 years ago, and this return trip was Andrew's anniversary present to me last June. So all of us (the dog and preschooler too) loaded into the car and drove north to this incredibly magical spot. We climbed to the top of the lighthouse, hiked, played, picnicked on the beach, and Sullivan even got an education in (soon to be extinct) VHS tapes and payphones. A wonderful trip...Can't wait to visit again. Hopefully in less than 8 1/2 years!

Big Boy Skates

Sullivan wore the skates he got for his birthday for the first time today -his first pair of "Big Boy Skates!" He did a great job, especially with the help of the skating aid his dad crafted for him, nicknamed "Skateasaurus" and made out of a few old building blocks containers (doesn't it look a bit like a Stanley Cup?). Most importantly, he had a lot of fun. Well, they both did.

Day Out with Thomas

Today we went to "Day Out with Thomas" for the second summer...This year we were also celebrating Father's Day a couple of months late, since Andrew shared Father's Day this year with our anniversary and becoming a Godfather to Brynn. We had a blast, and Thomas the Train proved that he's still a rock star to little boys everywhere -including ours.
