As if that wasn't enough excitement, while in Indy we decided to pay a visit to the ER. Sullivan is fine (he's great now, actually), but flying across the country seemed to aggravate a cold/virus he was fighting, and left the poor little guy wheezing. They took excellent care of us at the ER (and Sullivan received fantastic follow-up care once his favorite pediatrician -Tia Brittany- arrived). Also, the mini-hospital gown they made Sullivan wear ALMOST made the whole ordeal worth it.

Always an adventure...
Sullivan and I are in the Midwest for the next few weeks as I prepare for my first performances in two years with Madison Ballet. Before arriving in Madison, we visited with Nana and Poppy in Chicago and then met up with all of Sullivan's "tias" (Kiera, Brittany, and Jaime) in Indianapolis, so Sullivan could spend some quality time with Kiera's new son Trent!

What a difference a year makes!
The other day, right before getting Sullivan up from his nap I happened to glance at this ultrasound photo (below) that I keep above the desk in my home office, and noticed the date (2.5.09). Then I opened the door to his nursery and found myself face to face with proof that the past year has made quite a difference in our lives!
And yes, he's wearing sweet potatoes on his shirt.

Update
I've been very negligent of Sullivan's blog. We've all been sick and just generally swamped, but I think we're now all on the mend, and starting to breathe a bit easier -and not just because our stuffy noses are finally clearing! To make up for lost time, I'm posting a few pictures Jaime has taken over the past weeks during her weekly Tia Jaime Time.

Lastly, this is a shot Andrew took in the middle of the night while Sullivan was dealing with his case of Swine Flu a few weeks back. This particular night he woke up with a fever too high for us to have any hope of getting him back to sleep, so we simply had to distract him until his medicine brought the fever down. Andrew really loves the photos he took that night, which is kind of funny since it wasn't so very long ago that cocktails would have had to been involved for us to be up at 3:00am (and I SWEAR this night they weren't, unless you count Sullivan's Tylenol).
