Busy Boy!

Last weekend was a whirlwind for Sullivan. First he had the all-important job of looking adorably handsome for the throngs of Tutu Schoolers at a tea party Tutu School hosted. Then he had to focus on socializing with the other members of his playgroup who gathered to collectively celebrate their first birthdays (which have all taken place in the past month or so, or will take place shortly). It's a rough life he leads. Photographic documentation below.

Cute and Cupcakes

Sullivan has been keeping very busy lately. Here he is checking in on his dad; he likes to peek through Andrew's office windows and offer to help with work. This usually involves screaming "DAH!" or "da-DAH!" at the top of his lungs while tapping on the glass.

Today, after a fairly LONG day, Sullivan and I decided to indulge in a cupcake picnic. Clearly Sullivan is a fan. Who knew chocolate was miracle treatment for teething? Yummmmm....

More Hockey

Some of you may have already seen a couple of these photos via Sullivan's other news outlets (hee hee), but we had a wonderful day at the rink today watching Daddy/Andrew play hockey. Andrew made some incredible saves and Sullivan learned that bleachers make for a great playground! Hmmmmmm...

Hockey and Hugs

Sullivan is getting into the spirit of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

He's also been practicing his HUG!

Happy Mother's Day!

Wish we could celebrate with Great Grandma Phyllis, Nana, and Oma! Closest thing we can offer are a few new videos of Sullivan's latest shenanigans...

Naked baby at play! Surely this will be good blackmail material eventually... (*try to ignore my annoying voice in this one)

Sullivan has suddenly decided that in addition to shoving food in his face with both of his hands, he will (at times) also eat with a spoon -all by himself!

Playing peekaboo with Daddy (a.k.a. "da-DAH!")...

A May Update

A new favorite from the sandbox.

In other Sullivan news, he now LOVES to tell the dog "Off!", which is a training command we frequently try to employ with our beagle Burling (with varying degrees of success). Sullivan especially seems to enjoy telling Burling "Off!" when he has, say, stolen a dog toy of Burling's that he'd like to keep for himself.

Sullivan also loves feeding the ducks and seagulls at pond at the Palace of Fine Arts near our house, although he often holds out the bread towards the birds and then ends up deciding to eat it himself.

Although he's been walking holding onto things for quite a while, only recently has he begun really pushing things like his wagon and his rolling lion across the floor while walking behind them. The look of pride on his face while he does this (and frustration when he runs into things) is priceless.

He can actually stand quite well on his own, but absolutely does not trust himself to do it. The second he realizes he's unsupported he makes his way to the floor as quickly as possible. We think this may have something to do with the fact that he is a bit top-heavy.

To prove our point: At the doctor on Wednesday we learned that Sullivan now ranks in the 30th percentile for height, the 55th for weight, and the 90th for head circumference. When I asked the doctor how a kid who looks like such a bruiser (the doctor agreed with this assessment) could only be in the 55th percentile for weight, he said, "It's all in the cheeks!"

And thank goodness for those cheeks. We shower them with kisses each and every day.
