Christmas is coming...

...So, despite being terribly behind on blog pictures, I thought I'd post some photos from this holiday season so far. Sending mistletoe kisses!

Sleepovers, Pumpkins, & Mummies -oh my!

Busy Week! 1. Sullivan's first sleepover with his friend Lilianna, who also introduced him to the world of hair styling... 2. Pumpkins! 3. The Halloween Fair today at school, for which we baked lots of yummy mummy cookies, and escorted one adorable real-life mummy. Phew...Saturday afternoon and we're already exhausted!!!

Grrrreat Birthday Party Today...

...for Sullivan's sweet friend Lilianna. There was facepainting (can you imagine how thrilled he was to discover he could be decorated with a skull and cross bones?!)...

And, a very special visit from a VIP guest: Clifford, the Big Red Dog. This was Sullivan's reaction upon seeing Clifford...

But he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to get too close to him...

He did eventually give him a high five, and spent a long time waving goodbye to him.

Oh, and he asked, "Is that really the real Clifford?!" And I answered excitedly that yes, yes it was! His response: "It looks like it's someone dressed up as Clifford." Oh.

Skeleton Dance!

Sullivan's favorite thing to do right now is a (very long, fairly complicated) skeleton dance that is based on "The Skeleton Dance" from Disney's Silly Symphonies (there's a version of it on YouTube set to his very favorite skeleton song, "Spooky Scary Skeletons"). It has pretty specific choreography, and he's happy to perform it anywhere, anytime, for any audience. Today it was at the Presidio post office.

I found this going through old photos and videos...It's from not long after Sullivan's second birthday when we was obsessed with hockey AND his Jimmy Howard goalie figure. Apologies, though, Vimeo has some weird glitch that makes some videos shot on phones (this was) upload sideways, so sorry for making you have to turn you head. I tried just emailing it out, but it's too long...And I couldn't not share because it is making me very happy -or sad because he looks/sounds so little...I can't decide which. Both I guess! xo

Firsts

Belatedly, here are photos from Sullivan's first day of school a few weeks ago, as well as his first skating lesson (with his dad participating) about a week later. Maybe it's all of the firsts, but he seems more grown up all the time...which I guess is good because he recently started planning his sixth birthday party.

And a skeleton garland we made to celebrate the start of school...What? That's not traditional?
