So, Sullivan started the day off exploring the park and our backyard in his new "cocohdial" (crocodile) raincoat and Thomas the Train rain boots from Oma and Grampy. It seemed like his main goal was to get as muddy as possible.

Post-nap it was time for more adventures. Today was the annual tree lighting in the Presidio -a cute little ceremony during which they light Christmas lights on one of the gigantic trees in the park. Apparently it's been a tradition dating back to when the Presidio was still a military base. There's caroling and general merriment involved, and lots of cute kids running around.
In honor of the occasion, the firehouse across the street (also known as Sullivan's emergency peanut allergy response team) opened their doors -and firetrucks- to local kids. Sullivan was very excited to try his turn at "driving" the firetruck.

Between firetruck driving and Christmas tree lighting, we stopped at Starbucks for hot cocoa (and "chocko milk") and visited Sullivan's favorite destination: the Yoda fountain at George Lucas' office complex. Tonight, though, because it was dark outside we could see something we'd never noticed before inside the lit lobby: a Darth Vader costume! So on our way to the tree lighting ceremony, Sullivan spent the entire walk saying, "Bye-bye Yoda! Bye-bye Dar Vadah!" Hmmm...Not exactly traditional holiday sentiments.
I couldn't really get any photos of him with the tree. As soon as they switched on the lights he said, "All done." Apparently it was time to go home. So we did.

Hope everyone else had a great day too!
