Back to the Rink

Last week we were back at the hockey rink to watch Andrew do a "free agent skate" for potentially interested Bay Area teams. Sullivan was in heaven (and also wearing a virtually identical outfit to the one he sported on our trip to the rink months ago before we left to the Midwest...That hat looks a bit more snug now, though...). Several of the scouts said they had room on their teams for Sullivan, but I said he had to wait a few years. I've included some pretty amazing quotes of Sullivan's after the photos. Oh, and in case you're wondering how Andrew did, I'm headed back to the rink tomorrow to watch him playing two back-to-back games for two different teams who begged him to play for them this week!

Sullivan's quotes from last Thursday at the rink:

While watching some kids on the ice practicing a drill where they shot at an empty net, Sullivan turned to me and said "I be goalie?"

I told Sullivan, "Daddy's made lot's of great saves," and he replied, "Sullivan's turn?"

We've worked with Sullivan on the fact that before he hugs, kisses, or, say, TACKLES another child, he needs to ask first. So, I probably shouldn't have been surprised when he informed me that two players were "checking," and then said, "They ask first." Sure.
